The Oneness of Allah (Tawheed)
Tawheed is the foundation of Islam. It means believing that Allah is One — without partner, equal, or rival. He alone created the heavens and the earth, controls all affairs, and alone deserves to be worshipped.
A true Muslim believes that only Allah gives life and death, provides sustenance, forgives sins, answers prayers, and guides mankind to the straight path.
Allah says in the Qur’an:
“Say: He is Allah, the One.
Allah, the Eternal Refuge.
He neither begets nor is born,
Nor is there to Him any equivalent.” — Surah Al-Ikhlas (112:1–4)
Tawheed fills the heart with peace, strength, and trust in Allah. A believer relies upon Allah alone in times of ease and hardship, knowing that everything happens by His wisdom and decree.
The message of all the Prophets — from Adam to Muhammad ﷺ — was to worship Allah alone without associating partners with Him.
May Allah keep us firm upon pure Tawheed, strengthen our faith, and make us among those who worship Him sincerely. Ameen.
